Laird Apparel Co-Founder.
Chief Creative Officer & Designer 2015 - 2026
We are proud to be shareholders and participants with one of our favorite clients. The story started nearly a decade ago, with the distilling of Laird’s Brand DNA and through a close partnership we created a distinctive, highly personal, and typically unique clothing brand; Laird Apparel.

WON DAY - The video that started it all back in 2015. Shot on location on Kauai. The concept was to reflect a day in the life of Laird, and witness the action packed adventure along the way, all the while featuring the performance clothing designed to support every activity.
3D Branding & Trademark.
The HONU icon and company mascot was coined purposely as the spiritual symbol of oneness on land & sea. We interpreted the icon in an origami style. The symbol is now an international trademark. The geometric line work was always intended to provide the vectors for a 3D version that could animate, while always a recognizable reflection of the same facets.
Original Fabric Repeat Design.
For Laird apparel, we developed intricate, original fabric repeats and pattern systems that became a distinctive part of the brand’s visual language. This is a highly considered process that combines strong illustration and drawing skills with an understanding of fashion and cultural trends, color theory, scale, rhythm and composition. Each repeat needed to feel fresh and contemporary while remaining unmistakably Laird - working within the established house palette, aesthetic and product architecture. From the initial hand-drawn concepts and detailed artwork through to repeat construction, color separation and production-ready files, I was able to bridge the gap between creative vision and the technical realities of fabric production, creating patterns that were both visually sophisticated and commercially viable.
